The past month has been filled with reconnecting and spending quality time with friends and family. I do not know if it is age catching up or just me being sentimental, but these moments have been so precious and the best times in my entire life. I am thankful, I am grateful for all the people that God has sent my way ..family, friends old and new, acquaintances. Everyone has touched my life in some way or rather.

Heal the World with Love.


I believe that in any life's circumstance, when we shelve the negativity and fill ourselves with Love and in turn radiate positive aura, a door is opened in the universe and only Good enters our Lives. I have experienced it many times through the years but never realised it up till now...Love with a genuine heart SINCERELY without expecting anything in return and only then you will see things changing in your life. The moment we choose to LOVE and give the goodness of ourselves to others, we begin to experience the beauty of life and everything around us becomes calm and at peace...good things happen. An iota of Love from one soul adds on to the Universe because we are all connected. Just imagine if every soul does the same....the effect would be really great. Enjoy the Little things in Life


Being alive is something we all take for granted all the time. No one really thinks much about it. It’s easy for us to get caught up thinking of the future and past, the times we were happy and sad, disappointed, hurt etc. We forget to think and indulge in the present. We are blessed to still be here…to be alive…life in itself is the greatest gift and despite all our problems …life is beautiful. We just have to change our frame of mind to appreciate life and be grateful for it. 

The trick to being happy is to enjoy each day as it comes. Don’t wish away your days waiting for better ones. Sometimes we do not realize how big the little things in life really are. We just have to take time out to enjoy the little things in life like the wonderful smell of pancakes/roti canai/nasi lemak in the morning, smiling at others, having coffee/teh tarik with old friends, the smell and beauty of flowers around us…taking the time to actually browse a bookstore, giving a hug to loved ones and friends, holding your kids or partner’s hand, listening to music together…planting seeds and seeing sprouts come up, the concern people show you when you are hurt or injured, finding the perfect gift for someone, listening to little kids talk, praying together, helping an elderly person, reading hadith as a family, when a long lost friend still remembers you, seeing sunshine enter the room as you open the blinds….and the list goes on. 

It’s these little things in life that connect us to the bigger things….it’s these little things and moments that give us the quality in life. For those who have not already, start living now...live in the present and enjoy the simple and little things in life....for one day you will look back and realize they were the big things.

Easy Hazelnut Cookies.

Hazelnut cookies cutely packed in a gift tin.

Ingredients :
150 g Butter
60 g Icing sugar
Pinch of Salt
30 g Egg (1 egg yolk)
1 tea spoon Vanilla Essence 
1⁄2 tea spoon Orange zest
190 g Flour (6.7 oz) 
100 g ground hazelnut OR 72 g Hazelnut powder (2.5 oz.)
Coating milk chocolate or tempered milk couverture

Method:
Whip soft butter (room temperature) until it is light and fluffy. This takes a few minutes, so be patient.
Add the sifted icing sugar, and salt. Mix until everything combined.
Add vanilla essence.
Mix in the egg yolk and orange zests.
Add the sifted flour and hazelnut powder. Use a spatula to work the mixture into a firm dough.
Fill your pastry bag with the cookie batter and pipe out little shells with a star tube.
Bake for 10 minutes in your pre-heated (convection) oven at 175°C (347°F).
After baking, let the cookies cool down.
Finally coat with coating milk chocolate oR with tempered milk couverture.
The recipe will give 70-75 hazelnut cookies.

Heartbreak is a type of emotional pain that really, really hurts. In fact you will feel rotten for a long time and even cry non stop. Let it all out…it’s ok…grieve your loss, but remember not to do it too long or you will just end up getting even more damaged not only emotionally, but also physically and mentally. You should understand that there is really not a single perfect relationship in the world. Even those couples you admire have their ups and downs; they just know how to deal with them. So, you should accept the fact that you were both responsible for the way things turned out in your relationship, even though it may appear as if it was your ex who was in the wrong. You should therefore agree to start your relationship afresh without focusing on the past mistakes.
